I first started doing CrossFit on my own in 2018, and then finally joined Calibrated CrossFit as a member in 2019. My fitness routine prior to CrossFit had been primarily running, from hopping in local 5K races to training for full marathons. With CrossFit, I realized that I could reach a greater level of personal and mental fitness. The one thing I love the most about CrossFit is that I’ve been able to commit myself to continuous improvement alongside others in the community who share the same mindset. I’ve even used CrossFit to help me complete my first Hyrox competition. Outside of CrossFit, I keep active with my kids on bike rides, nature hikes, skiing and the occasional fun run around town. As a coach, I enjoy helping others reach their fitness goals. If you’d like to start CrossFit, be ready to learn new movements you’ve never done before and be patient with the process.
